Grief is in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life.

Dawn’s advocacy strives to spotlight the varied and often unheard voices of those within the MS community. Throughout her journey, Dawn’s work has led her to be part of patient advisory committees, an advocate for women’s health, partner to Emilyn, Shift MS and Healthline. Dawn has also been featured in publications such as Well+Good, WebMD, Momentum, Brain & Life, and MS International Federation global face of MS YouTube campaign. Despite her diagnosis, she feels that Multiple Sclerosis has made her a better and stronger person.

One thing can be said about her, she has not slowed down and is currently developing a documentary film about MS, “It’s All in My Head”.  The documentary will examine the scientific, medical, and social history of MS.  It’s All in My Head will present a window into the world of those living with MS to demystify this disease and destigmatize those who are living with it.  More importantly, the documentary will present the stories of many amazing people living with MS.

In 2016 Dawn felt that her voice and story should be used to uplift others in the MS community. On her show she interviews MS patients, specialists, celebrities, and care partners, who share their experiences and insights on this topic.

Dawn has been dedicated to being an influential patient voice in the community, an MS advocate, and a patient leader. Her focus has always been on how our healthcare system can better serve those affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
